Booking and Cancellation Policy

Multi-Day SUP Expeditions:

Bookings are made via email at info@lazydog.fi or through the registration form created for the specific trip. Reservations require the payment of a booking fee. If you wish to cancel your trip, contact us at info@lazydog.fi.

After registering via email or form, you will receive an invoice for the booking fee of €100. Once the invoice is paid, your reservation is confirmed.

Notify us of your cancellation promptly in writing via email to info@lazydog.fi. We will confirm your cancellation by replying to your email.

 

More than 60 days before the start of the service: Notify us promptly via email. We will confirm your cancellation via email. Payments already made will be refunded, minus a €50 office fee. The remainder will be refunded within 14–30 bank days.

30–60 days before the start of the service: Notify us promptly via email. Payments already made will be refunded as follows: 50% of the service price is deducted. The remainder will be refunded within 14–30 bank days. If only the booking fee has been paid, you will receive the final invoice via email, with 50% of the original service price deducted.

Less than 30 days remaining and the final invoice is unpaid: Notify us promptly via email. Registration is binding, and failure to pay the course fee will result in a payment reminder and collection process. If cancellation is due to illness, payments already made will be refunded, minus a €50 office fee. The remainder will be refunded within 14–30 bank days.

If the organizer must cancel the service:
The organizer may cancel the service due to low participation, adverse weather conditions, or instructor illness. The organizer may also cancel due to force majeure situations. The organizer will primarily try to find a new replacement date for the service. If no new date can be agreed upon, the organizer will refund all payments made.

Force Majeure:
A force majeure is an event beyond the control of the organizer, which could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time of the agreement and whose consequences could not have been reasonably avoided or overcome. Force majeure includes events such as interruptions in general energy production, fires, or other events preventing the use of the venue, natural disasters, earthquakes, wars, rebellions, terrorism, pandemics, etc. Strikes, lockouts, boycotts, and other labor actions are considered force majeure, even if they affect the organizer or participants. Force majeure affecting the organizer’s subcontractor is also considered a basis for exemption. Note: Ensure that you have valid leisure and travel insurance during the trip.

Guided Sessions and Courses Lasting Less Than One Day:
Bookings are made via email at info@lazydog.fi, by phone, or through the registration form for the specific trip. If you wish to cancel your trip, contact us at info@lazydog.fi or by calling/texting +358403586609.
Participants pay for the course/trip on-site, and cancellations are free if made more than 24 hours before the start of the course/trip. For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start, 50% of the course/trip price will be charged.

CHANGES:
All booking changes must be made via email to info@lazydog.fi or by calling/texting.

SERVICE PROVIDER LIABILITY:
The service provider, Lazydog Adventures, operates under appropriate safety plans and health and safety standards in accordance with Finnish laws and regulations.

OTHER DAMAGES:
The service provider is liable only for personal or material damages resulting from accidents occurring during the program/service due to the provider’s or its staff’s or subcontractor’s negligence or defective equipment. The provider is not responsible for damages or injuries covered by the participant’s travel or leisure insurance. Participants must have valid leisure and travel insurance.

OTHER HEALTH ISSUES:
Customers participate in programs/services at their own risk. At the time of booking, participants must disclose any health conditions that may affect the program. If a health condition requires special arrangements (e.g., separate transport/additional guide), the service provider has the right to charge the participant for the additional costs incurred.

APPLICABLE LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION:
The parties will attempt to resolve any disputes arising from the agreement through mutual negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the customer may take the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board or the District Court of Central Finland. Finnish law applies to the agreement.
